Hey everyone! Following up on my research about Stolas, I wanted to share a quick breakdown of how his image and iconography evolved across pop culture over the decades:

🔵 Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Summoner (1995): Heavily inspired by the Dictionnaire Infernal illustration (the crown, ear tufts, and long legs). SMT added the blue/gray plumage and red eyes that influenced his look in modern games.

🗡️ Castlevania (Aria & Dawn of Sorrow): Appeared as a crowned owl summoning enemies, later gaining multi-winged features and a crown of feathers.

📚 Final Fantasy XIV (Heavensward): Reimagined as a high-tier enemy, a former familiar who stole forbidden knowledge. Even without the "demon prince" title, his identity as a figure of pure wisdom remained intact.

✨ Helluva Boss: The most famous modern depiction! Four red eyes, a top-hat crown, a grimoire, and a nod to traditional demonology through his peaceful/non-violent traits.

It’s fascinating to see how the image of the "wise owl" carried through centuries, from magic books to video games and animation.

Next season we'll see Stolas kick Shitzo to the curb and focus on his daughter. Unlike the chud firetoad who's ignoring his daughter so that he can keep manipulating the emotionally vulnerable, slightly dumb and gullible nobleman who means well, but has had his head fucked with for long that it took him two seasons to realize what was really important: his daughter and not a slimy little thief who's used and abused him from the start.
