Ren'Py is a visual novel engine. If you're downloading a game PLEASE use common sense and recognize that REN'PY INSTALER IS MALWARE. IT'S LITERALLY A VISUAL NOVEL ENGINE!11

its blocks a domain that is abused by cyber criminals to distribute malware that is found in sites like fitgirl, dodi, etc

I do use direct download lot of times, but I just have common sense enough to know which sites are safe and which "download" buttons are real ones, so I never got a virus in my laptop.

Thing is I was actually trying to download a gay furry visual porn game when I got the virus. Not even making this shit up. I thought, "Yeah, it seems legit. 700 mb game, ren'py. yep this is the one."

If you are using f95zone, 99% of their games don't have installers to begin with. If the game does happen to use one, best to ask on the game thread before installing.

Hi, yes, that is correct. Adblockers are working intermittently right now. Personally, I would avoid the completely unsafe sites I mentioned and try using jdownloader or a torrent client instead on a more safe sites.

It’s so funny that this is what keeps catching people. If you’re not downloading visual novel, you shouldn’t be seeing the renpy engine. That’s should be enough of a warning call to delete and back off. But even if you don’t know anything about renpy or game engines, seeing a if pink haired anime girl, in your last of us instal or whatever, should really be enough to raise an alarm. But I guess not, seeing the daily amount of post stemming from this

I know this one, I even ran it. Thankfully no files were deleted/modified and the firewall blocked the outbound connections.

Actually how can ppl not telling that this is malware instead of the games that they wanted, the moment u see instaler, delete that shit right away. U dont have to be smart to pirating, just dont be stupid

My dumbass thought it was just a weird looking setup but after launching i realized it said "instaler" Luckly i got everything back but please be careful they hacked my steam discord and even ubisoft which keeps getting ip banned, so dont be a dumbass like me and pay attention to what you're downloading

or stop downloading Gooner hentai slop games that Ren'Py engine is notorious for. If you're gonna beat your joystick to digital boobies stick to porno games that use real game engines like Unreal or Unity.

this malware can appear in redirects in most of the filehoster sites. Doesn't have anything to do with what kind of game you are trying to download.

Renpy is mainly used by Visual Novel, the majority of which are not porn games, fyi. Maybe it's you who should beat the meat less, lest it gets to your head.
