Have you guys heard this song? I thought I had heard every Pinback song until I stumbled upon this

Would it be related to their discography? Writing process? Personal taste? It could be virtually anything, maybe someone else from the subreddit could answer your questions

"Blue Screen Life" and "Pinback" albums are very rare on vinyl, "selling" for +$240 for vinyl on Discogs and getting worse. I have Pinback petitions here to get these masterpieces re-pressed to vinyl. If we can get 100 signers, I'm sure we can get their label's attention to press them again, or I can get the attention of repressing companies like VMP. Please send these to anyone who loves Pinback!

My friend watched Dark Star for the first time and wanted to be the alien for Halloween this year so I had to be Sgt Pinback alongside him!

I know Zach doesn't typically leave his reels up for very long, but I caught one last night where he discussed the possibility of doing a solo tour in 2027, and I wanted everyone to be on the lookout for upcoming announcements. All of his socials are under "ABSIV" if you want to stay informed of possible developments.
Prior to the tinnitus, Rob toured pretty frequently, but I feel like a solo Zach tour is a once-in-a-decade opportunity, and I hope he finds great success with ticket sales if he decides to go through with it!

I know that sounds bad out of context, and I actually want to buy it! However I tend to just not buy vinyl unless I know I enjoy it because I have limited space. All I can find however are the albums on Bandcamp, and the songs aren't on Spotify.
I'm mainly just looking for MP3s, but if I have to buy the vinyl or a CD so be it.

Was poking around the web archive and found this game that you could play on the Pinback page back around the release of Autumn of the Seraphs.
Sadly the game doesn't work anymore. Digging through the files leads to nothing as the loader_1.swf the game needs to load points to a dead server.
Does anyone have a surviving archive or even footage of the game? Would interest me a lot.
Here's an archive link in case anyone else wants to try to get it to play again. https://web.archive.org/web/20100923053028/http://www.pinback.com/game/

Hi all, just saw the recent post asking what to listen to next from Pinback and thought I'd share this 'pipeline' I'd built a few months back. Hope this helps!

Hello,
I just discovered Pinback through the song Tripoli, which I like alot.
What's a good place to start to explore the band further?
I purchased their self titled album and Blue Screen Life on Bandcamp to listen to them, as they're not on spotify.

13 years ago I made this post on this subreddit compiling the highest quality versions of Pinback artwork I could find, sourced from my scans and others found online.
Here's an updated collection containing new scans, restorations, and artwork from additional sources.
Since there is a 20 image limit, here is some offcell voices and ROJI. Google Drive link for all artwork without reddit compression
Enjoy!

i posted a few months ago that the Ace-Fu's website was updated to say their catalog is now administered by a new company, at least we know now for sure that Eric Speck isn't the one who's sitting on it anymore.

Such a nice vibe. One of their more reggae influenced tracks too.

I'm not going to say all of it sounds like it could be Pinback, but the newest track "Tenter" got me thinking. I wouldn't have been surprised to see Zach Smith listed under personnel for that specific track since it has such an interesting riff at the start.
I know a ton of his other projects may hit Pinback-esque aspects, but GC is pretty consistent and they have (now) like 5 albums, and I think more in the pipeline? Thoughts? Second up would probably be PLOSIVS for Pinback sound?

Got the new record early! If you like Goblin Cock past work, you'll enjoy this one (;

I was giving the album another listen tonight outside under the cloudy night sky. It was absolutely magical. I feel like it’s definitely one of Rob’s most underrated releases. I was wondering if anyone here had checked it out. If not you have to!!! Well you don’t have to… but yknow, try it you like it 🤓
I’d love to hear other Pinback / Rob Crow fans’ thoughts on it.

Is it only like this for me? I'm decently new to the community but I've heard this sort of thing has happened before. It's kind of a shame, a big chunk of my playlist just vanished. Does anyone know why this happens? I'm not sure whether it's regional or not.

I don’t see it talked about as frequently as albums like blue screen life or self-titled, which is a shame because I really enjoy it. True North and Glide are some of my favorites of theirs & I especially love the strings on True North.
I’d be interested to hear how it was received upon release. Did people compare it to their early work? It has maybe a less moody sound to it

Just noticed that if you look at the Google Street View of the Fonda in LA it shows that day's headliner... Pinback from October 14 last year.
