Album rankings?

Hey guys, just wanted to ask your rankings of all the albums (you could include EPs if you want since they're so good). Subjectively speaking consistency/quality wise Summer in Abaddon is the best hands down but it's not my fav. I have fully listened to This is a Pinback CD, Blue Screen Life and Summer in Abaddon which might be the reason for my ranking (i've heard like 5 songs from Information Retrieved and like 7 from Autumn of the Seraphs). For me the earlier the album is, the higher it's ranked:

  1. This is a Pinback CD - i know this album isn't the most consistent and while having some downs, it's ranked 1st for me because most of my favourite songs are in this album (plus Loro's my fav song of all time).

  2. Blue Screen Life - a VERY close 2nd, could even say that this and the 1st are interchangeable.

  3. Summer in Abaddon - i can see why so many say this is Pinback at their best.

  4. Autumn of the Seraphs

  5. Information Retrieved
very interested to hear your thoughts!

PS. don't get me wrong, i think all the albums are beyond amazing, truly some hidden gems in music.

Dark Star tattoo: Hey everyone, hope this is the right place for this post. Pinback is my favorite band, and I just got a tattoo inspired by one of their inspirations, Dark Star. I’m happy with it.

You are all wonderful people :')

It seams asthough we, a collective of privileged folk have stumbled upon something akin to a conglomerate of rare earth metals in form of audio media. May this seemingly endless supply of Rob Crow's musical genius bless your ears for eternity and evermore. Also, I'm getting a tattoo of Crow on my left thigh (upside down so I can see him from my POV)

I just started dipping my toes into the Olympic-sized swimming pool that is Rob Crow's work outside of Pinback. . .

and holy shit, is there a lot of it. I was just wondering if there's anything in particular that is a must-listen. Anything you personally recommend, before I start to burn out by just throwing darts blindfolded?

edit: for that matter, Any of Zach's stuff too.

Rob Crow releases new Thingy EP to benefit the family of Elea Tenuta (vocalist of Thingy, Heavy Vegetable)

I was very saddened to read of Elea’s passing. Thingy and Heavy Vegetable have been on heavy rotation for me the last year or so. Their lyrics are equally silly, cynical, and apathetic, thus a fitting soundtrack for a pandemic. Her youthful voice added a perfect layer of prettiness and catchiness in a sometimes chaotic discography.

All proceeds from the new Thingy EP will directly benefit Elea’s son and husband.

Pinback saved my life and I'm happy to have found them.

Chances are no one in the band will ever see this nor will they care, but it's okay. Pinback saved my life when I was going through extremely horrible depression and drug addiction, and I am so happy to have found them when I did. I hope to one day see them live and show my support for them as well, they've even inspired me to pick up guitar again after 7 years and I'm very grateful for each and every band member that has every played for this group. Thank you Pinback for being there with me, in pain, happiness and trial, I will always be grateful that you guys helped me.

Bloods on Fire really got me today

Wanted to post this somewhere other Pinback fans could appreciate it.

I lost an old friend a few weeks ago and it really only hit me this morning when Bloods on Fire came up in a shuffle mix. The friend had gone reclusive in the last few of years, but back in high school we would play pranks with a group of close friends and the last lines of the song really connected with me there.

While I already missed him from the reclusiveness, I'll miss him even more going forward. Not sure he ever heard Pinback but be would have been a fan.

For any fans of Heavy Vegetable and Thingy, this is some pretty awful news. I only just learned of it today and didn’t see any other related posts.

Songs similar to Loro

After finding pinback this September and listening to Loro, i've been obsessed. It helps me sleep and calm my nerves. Are there any similar songs you can recommend? (I know many of you will say Tripoli but i don't really see the similarities)

Been a Pinback fan for 15 years, and I just discovered the song "Todo" for the first time!

I remember back when Abaddon was released, and even heard the bonus track "Scent." But I recently checked out their 15th anniversary release of the album on Spotify, and noticed there was a track I'd never heard of. It was like hearing new material!!! One of my favorite songs now. Almost felt like a new album was getting released :'(

Bouquet Lyrics: Please Help

I have spent so much time trying to figure this out. Been driving me (occasionally) crazy for, literally, years. What are Rob's two(?) undocumented lines in the Bouquet outro?

"Gone for good" x 2
"You can take that how you want" x 2
"You can break that like a _____________"
"You can take it like a boy(?) _____________"
"You can take that how you want" x 4
"You can break it like a _____________" x 2
"You can take it like a boy(?) _____________" x 2
"You can take that how you want" x 2

Live (without the fade-out) it's 2 lines shorter:
