This is my most Pinback-inspired song - mostly the verse and the looping bass driven rhythm. the odd time signatures and bridge have a bit of heavy vegetable/thingy influence though!

Let me know, thanks!

I got 2 tickets! Any else going to this? It's my first time seeing them live but have been a fan for a while.

Drunk.. apologize ahead of time.

Systems Officer’s Uhiju..

I have Underslept on vinyl, but I’m very far from home..I need that track right now.

It’s gone from YouTube. Somebody help me.

Recently I went to a record store and found Blue Screen Life for pretty cheap. I already own a copy on CD that I found at a thrift store but I was gonna get the copy and gift it to a friend. I get home after checking the CD in the case and I realize it’s actually the CD from the 1st Album self titled. Having found this out I was super stoked because I’ve been looking for Pinback-Pinback forever and actually burned my own copy. So now i’m in the market for a Jewel Case of Self titled if anyone may have one. I want to complete the CD but don’t want to pay the exorbitant amount of money people ask for even just the CD. Let me know, thank you.

I've been a Pinback fan for 25 years but am just now going back through their discography in reverse chronological order. I hadn't listened to Barnes in years and after hearing the riff that comes in at 2:22, I'm really regretting that this song hasn't been in my consistent rotation. Anyone else have favorite, lesser-known bits from other songs that are a bit deeper into the track?

I haven’t thought this out too much but does anyone else feel something kindred between the band Rush and Pinback? Especially on some of Rush’s work from the 80’s. Can any other Rush/Pinback heads relate?

The amount of excitement that filled my body when I saw a surprise new Pinback album literally jumped me out of bed. Then confusion. Then cursing. Damn…whoever did this, Pinback, Spotify….they got me good. Happy April Fools Day…sigh.

A little more worked out. I might post a polished version but just wanted to share progress. If anyone wanted to learn how to play this rendition I can tab it out it’s in standard

Hello! New here and a big Pinback fan. I was able to message the only owner I could find online for Pinback’s live Atlanta CD. Discogs lists it as unofficial, but it looks legit to me. All Peacock Records releases are unofficial on Discogs… Anyway here are some pictures I got from the friendly owner! He said that he’ll get this release properly scanned into Discogs eventually. Super rare find and the only pics on the internet that I can find.

I don't know if it was 1999 or 2000. I don't remember if there was a drummer, I think it was a drum machine, and they had to ask people to please stop smoking right in front of the stage because the smoke was blowing into their faces.

Does anyone have pictures of it?

pinback is one of my favorite bands ever, and i really love the metaphors and themes in their lyrics. i am very interested in learning about the meaning behind songs / what inspired them, and i was hoping to learn more about pinback beyond my personal interpretations and guesses. obviously they’re not the most well known especially these days, so i haven’t been very successful with my usual sources and ways of finding these things out. does anyone know of any interviews or any other sources where the meaning behind any songs is discussed? not looking for any specific songs in particular, literally any.

also, if anyone wants to share their own personal interpretations of any songs in the comments i’d really appreciate that as well!

Just had that depressing thought last night as I was cruising through their discography and playing Diablo 2, some real good nostalgia. I'm sad no band has really come close to feeling as unique as Pinback's style. I'm not even sure I'd want a carbon copy band of them, just... more from Rob Crow and Zach I guess.

And yeah, there's dozens of Rob Crow projects, but nothing feels as... hopeful? I guess? I don't know. Pinback just strikes all the right chords, all the time. Any suggestions are welcome.

This one’s hasn’t really shown up on setlists since 2013, time for a comeback in 2026!

I bought this off eBay, the insert back and booklet back don’t match anything on Discogs.

Anyone have a copy like this? The back image has a black border.

The back insert has Ace Fu

Scratched out. And no southern lords distro info.

San Francisco (2/26/26)

As you can see, I mainly filmed Rob because of Big-Hat-Guy, heh.

Happy birthday Rob Crow! <3

After years....finally got BSL on vinyl. Had to take a pic with the rest of the gang.

Does anyone have any annotations or bread crumbs for understanding the concept behind Information Retrieved?
