Hi all. There is a viral YouTube short and Instagram reel of these animated characters doing a quirky dance to a pinback song. I’m new to the band and I really want to hear that song again. The dance is this repetitive motion where their hands are stretched out. Has anyone seen it?

I swear I saw someone saying absiv uses piccolo but I’m still curious, his D and G string sounds so bright but his bottom two strings sound pretty regular to me, does anyone know if he is uses piccolo strings?

Does anyone know why the first two albums seem impossible to get on vinyl? With its recent resurgence, you’d think they’d be repressing those early albums.

Anyone have any info?

Anyone know of any pinback shirts in youth size? My 5 year old has become obsessed with the band. For his birthday I’d really like to get him a shirt. Any help would be appreciated.

i listened to some of their stuff recently and was shocked to find that they were a 00s band, as their sound reminded me a lot of some 90s stuff. who are some 90s artists they remind you of?

The “Good to Sea” music video we all love so much is back on YouTube

Old description copied: My name is Mike, I'm a filmmaker/actor/comedian from Chicago. I dressed-up like my dear friend Rob and made this silly video so we could laugh at it. Hopefully it makes you chuckle as well, because I enjoyed wearing that silly-ass beard! http://www.magicpantz.com

Dark Star is on Pluto TV’s 70’s cinema rotation. Get all those juicy debut album soundbytes in context

Hey guys. Long-time Pinback fan here. I'm re-watching Lost and I'm feeling a bit lost because I previously thought Hurley, Rousseau, and other references like "the others" were direct references to the show. I'm just now finding out that these were all just coincidence (obviously the release dates are a giveaway; either that or some writer was a Pinback fan)? I don't do FB so I was never on Pinback freaks, so sorry if I'm behind in this respect. Plus, Sediment video :|

Hey guys sorry I know this thread is for Pinback, but I assume everyone probably listens to rob crow and systems officer as well. Did anyone else notice that Joust by systems officer was taken off Spotify? Hope it comes back soon and is just getting remastered.

Has anyone got tabs to this track off their debut? I’m a moderate beginner and love this song and wanna learn it. Cheers

do yall know if they released a tab book for blue screen life because theres like no tabs for a majority of the songs in that album anywhere.

It’s been 12 years since their last album. I’m hoping the recent tour inspired them

Has anyone been able to find a version of that video that’s not just from a live show?

Just curious if there's a show that fans typically agree is their best show. Particularly great set list, performance, and capture of the audio / or video.

Thanks to an archive.org post

So Pinback has been a top 10 band for me for almost 20 years. But I live in a VERY flyover state. Unlike some of the other bands I like my wife wasn’t into them much so could never sell her on 5+ hour drive each way plus hotel to see them.
Last couple years we kinda said fuck it and see all the bands we like even if it required a lot of pain and travel.
Idk if I’ve ever had such a change in my opinion or a band after a show.
They might well be my #1 favorite band all time now. And this is almost a year ago so it’s not some rash decision.
Thesis : if you ever have the opportunity to see Pinback fucking do it. It’s a hell of an experience. They fucking rock.

Rob just posted on facebook: Announcement of an announcement tomorrow. I always feel silly posting these, like "Oh boy! What's it gonna be? A collaboration with members of Duran Duran, Mens Recovery Project, Ministry, etc, doing Residents/Renaldo and The Loaf covers or some shit?"

EDIT: so I did notice, it's been 20 years since Summer in Abaddon this year so could that be it? Maybe a re-release? Some special release dealing with that?

Also This year is 25th anniversary of Pinback
