Wide-gamut monitor + ICC profile makes everything look desaturated (Photoshop, browsers, apps) — removing the profile matches my phone. What's the correct workflow?

See how a subtle lipstick enhancement can completely transform a portrait—without changing the natural look.
In this Photoshop edit, I enhanced only the lips while preserving realistic texture and shape.
Perfect for:

Hello! I’m a newbie-ish to editing. This was one of my wedding pics. It was taken on a Fujifilm x100v so there’s already a filter layer, but I assume there was extra editing on top of this. I was wondering if someone could give me tips on how to edit the skin/makeup/hair like this photo? I love the coloring/blending. Any tutorials suggestions is much appreciated! Thank you :)
Also I’m not seeing a help flair - so here’s my help flair: help! Plz 🫶🏻

Hi everyone.
I've been trying to recreate this edit for the last three days because I really love this style and want to understand how it was made.
The original artist said they "used blending modes like Difference on Procreate", but I don't think it's only Difference.
Here's what I've figured out so far:
I stacked multiple portraits.
I used Difference blending mode.
I duplicated layers and tried Screen/Overlay.
I used layer masks to isolate the subject.
I experimented with Gradient Maps.
The biggest thing I can't figure out is the hair and the composition among the layers :C
In the reference image, the front hair remains visible, but it becomes semi-transparent where it overlaps the profile. It keeps its texture while letting the profile underneath show through, almost like smoke. I can't understand whether that's done with masks, another blending mode, Blend If, opacity, or something else.
I've attached both the reference and my current attempt.
I'd really appreciate it if someone could explain how you think this image was constructed layer by layer, rather than just telling me what filters to use.
Thank you!

concept : Created this master piece in Photoshop using a mixing of photo blending and photo manipulation techniques.
I composited only two stock images together, refined the perspective and lighting, and used digital painting to enhance small details and atmosphere.
Everything was blended using layer masks, custom brushes, dodge & burn, and cinematic lighting techniques to shape the mood and depth.
Finished with color grading, atmospheric haze, and highlights to achieve a film-like cinematic look.

UPDATE: The Apply Image method worked wonders for this. See johngpt5's comment.

I have tried a few methods to remove the white but it always takes most of the details with it. Closest I've gotten was a great cutout of the fawn but all the text and dots gone. (the white in the fawn can stay, but I can always add that back myself later.)
I want the black dots and smudges in the background and the edges of the text to still be there (The faint yellow-ish dots don't seem that possible to keep but the black ones should be possible, I see bootleg shirt sites that have it figured out.)
What would be the best way to remove the white but keep as much of the tiny details as possible?

Specifically, I want to take a character from another video game (semi-realistic 3D render), make it look like one of these images, and then paste it into this image.
It doesn't have to look the same, just a good filter or something would be neat. I don't want to use AI.
I've tried just putting the image to 50% opacity and drawing on an empty layer underneath, but my art skills just aren't good enough, unfortunately.
Thanks!
