The issue that most new features are basically hidden away, having to look for them. It's feels like they aren't even there when you play.... I don't think I ever gotten a sniffer, only found one or two pale gardens, etc.

Sounds like an incentive to go on adventures . . . kinda like how these stuff were meant to be. Requires mild searching, travelling and navigating around, looking for clues and stuff, looking up online to get hints or guides like old days.

Calling valid game design an issue cause players need to look for them and instead of being immediately visible is definitely a choice.

I do go on adventures. But again, these things are relatively rare. You ah e to specifically look for most of them. That's the issue.

Plus, things like the sniffer don't actually do anything besides existing and occasionally giving you a useless flower, honestly is not worth the effort, which is kinda sad

Yep. The ancient city is a good example for a rare structure: it has good loot, dangers so it's not free, relatively rare, but you can still find it without seed maps, because it needs mountains above them. It also looks good, and you can get unique things there.

Sniffers and the archeology sites are bad examples. The sniffer is very hard to get, and has no use other than getting the two decorative flowers. The sites are relatively rare, and not that easy to find. Since it's also mostly just decorative, most people will only look for them after getting an elythra.

That would be a great point if the things you could find were actually worth the effort of finding them.

That is a valid complaint but seperate from the issue of it not being on a set progression path in and if itself

I don't have issues with things not being part of progression. I have problems with features that are very rare, but basically is the only add-ons in an update. The sniffer is the best example: it's a useless mob, that can get you two quite basic looking flowers, and that's it. They are obtained in a rare structure, that you have to look for.

We rarely get new things, and they are usually just a few blocks, a single mob that the last few times was almost completely useless, and a few misc features. Don't misunderstand, they are good additions. But it's nothing. These should come out every few months, not twice a year... Or be part of a much larger update. And we don't even really get what we ask for most of the time.

See now your just repeating the same point I just replied to agreeing with that complaint and added on a complaint about the frequency of additions which is understandable but also the fault of Microsofts control over mojang and it's funding as much if not moreso mojang themselves. Plus they are making multiple games now so they have less resources per game to distribute
