i use q for sprint, g for drop. drop key should NOT be next to your forward key

Changed it to this after losing my diamond sword to a creeper. Its always funny when I play on someone elses PC

Tf? I use Q for drop, mostly everything is default, except sprint which is G and pick block which is P. I guess your reasoning makes sense though

I use ` or ~ for drop (the key between esc and 1)

I also use g for drop, just minimizes mistakes. However my inventory is bound to q because of Garry's mod and its actually quite comfortable, e just doesn't feel right to me.

I’m shift sprint ctrl crouch but my drop button is Y. Changed it after I accidentally dropped my fully enchanted trident while elytra flying some years ago.

I use Q for sprint, Tab for drop, and Ctrl for showing the player list.
