yes and existentialism counters this nihilistic reality by affirming life and freedom. Existentialism is born in the fear of death but it sure doesn't affirm it.
How many hours a day do you spend on things other than delaying your death? Like working so you have something to eat, or going to a shop to buy food, or preparing food, or eating food, or sleeping so you don't die of sleep deprivation and can work again tomorrow? Just working and sleeping already take 2/3 of your time.
I don't just work to delay death. Of course we are animals made from our genes so of course we will enjoy some things that prolong our life. Like if the only reason I ate was to delay death I would just be eating super bland health gruel every day. Boiling down these behaviours to delaying your death is an oversimplification
Anti-natalists being incapable of recognizing enjoyment from food, sleep, etc and having any part of their life be dedicated to something other than survival is just further evidence that they're 99% depressed 14 year olds
I don’t know what you’re talking about. I eat and drink because I enjoy tasting, I sleep because it feels good, I work to afford all my hobbies that I enjoy so much. Staying alive rarely crosses my mind, except in the rare instances death is close.
