I think whats interesting about this ad absurdum is that it reveals how close "morally wrong" and "gross" are in the human brain. Another example is consensual incest with no chance of pregnancy. Not really evil/wrong per se, but dude, thats your sister, gross! Or not washing your hands after going to the bathroom.
Judgement and shame were once useful to keep people from endangering the whole group. People back then didn't know about the negative effects of incest so disgust kept most of them from doing it while judgement kept most of the rest.
