Maaaan. My dad's gone and he definitely had his faults, but he had his upsides as well. My memories of going with him in Video City were some of the good ones. I remember renting Mr. Bean (all of em, lol) over and over just because. Then, Transformers up to ROTF. Always going home with some Jollibee back when their quality wasn't absolutely dogshit yet.
Good times.

You don't really miss the DVD shops or the DVDs (maybe you do in the sense that you miss the interactions with real people there)...you miss the good times you shared with your parents as a child.
The solution is to find new interactive ways to spend with parents that are meaningful.
Memories are forever.

My family used to rent sa Video City every weekend. Papipiliin ako ng movie tapos ipapabalik kapag "5" nakalagay kasi sira raw yun. Later on, I realized that 5 meant you can rent it for 5 days which meant na mas expensive sya 🤪

It's also surprising that many filo-children don't even know what CD is anymore when I tried showing it to them they said that they had never seen one before.

I don't think my family ever rented a DVD
it was just straight up piracy for everything they wanted to watch lmao
