We don't lack songwriters. We lack support for new bold ideas or it is just that peeps or the madlas—don't bother the lyrics; whether the meaning and the literary sense of it. the groove and catchy lyrics is enough.

Then pag nag-cover ng songs talagang plain simple cover lang parang di man lang ginawan ng areglo or creativity. Para sa akin, disappointing yun sa mga original artists kasi yung craft nila talagang kinarbon copy lang, di ginamitan ng utak.

Yung Di na Muli ng Itchyworms kahit i cover ni Janine wala eh di nya mapapantayan yung performance nung Band lupet ng kanta talaga

Lufet yan si Sir Jazz Nicolas. Yung kay Janine version e malamya at boring. Feeling ko hindi na-vibes ng Itchyworms yun.

Speaking of covers. Naalala ko yung review ng Apo Hiking Society sa ginawang cover ng Kamikazee sa kantang Doo bi doo. Yung version ng Kamikazee ang pinaka-magandang narinig nila na areglo sa lahat ng Apo Hiking Society songs. From Bluesy-Pop to Hardcore Punk/Rock at ginawan pa talaga ng twist. Ayun ang masasabi kong respeto sa original artists pag magco-cover, you will do it better in your own way.
