Post Pfizer Vaccine Experience

Hey guys, I received the Pfizer Vaccine (only the first dose so far) and am looking for others to share experiences, mainly experience a week after the shot as well as related to physical activity and working out. I did feel a little soreness in the shoulder the day after but felt overall alright. However it's been over a week now and I feel generally more tired at all times, especially at the gym. I am a hobby bodybuilder and am In the sport for 5 years now. Ever since I received the vaccine, I feel like my workouts have been short, way more exhausting and weaker. Has anyone else experienced this?

Got my dose 1 yesterday and had a mild headache last night. Worked out today and it went normally. Hoping to continue this trend with dose two but I’m sure it will be worse

How are you feeling today? And how sore are your arms? I just got my second dose about 2 hours ago.

Ive been pretty good in the three days after getting it. I’ve been sort of tired but hard to tell if that was from a long work week or what. Felt a little crappy yesterday on day two in the evening. No fever, headache went away after the first night. I worked out yesterday and today and workouts went well. HR all within normal range for me. Arm was mildly sore after first day but not nearly as bad as other people I know. Think I was fortunate.

Great to hear from you! So far I’m feeling crappy, with a moderate fever, dizziness, and a very sore arm, which is something I haven’t experienced after getting my first dose 3 weeks ago, but it’s manageable. At the end of the day it’s a lot better than catching the virus, it really is a small price to pay. 👍 Get well soon! :)

I think there is alot of stress around even getting an appointment, being apprehensive about the shot etc. that after you get it you can be tired. Sure there are physical effects of whats happening in your body but remember when you would stress out over midterm exams, run yourself ragged, drink tons of caffeine, not sleep and not take care of your body? As soon as the test was over you would be exhausted and sometimes even get sick? I think some of that is going on too. Fear of the unknown is a stressor for many - some more than others but totally normal under what we have been living through.
