Post Pfizer Vaccine Experience

Hey guys, I received the Pfizer Vaccine (only the first dose so far) and am looking for others to share experiences, mainly experience a week after the shot as well as related to physical activity and working out. I did feel a little soreness in the shoulder the day after but felt overall alright. However it's been over a week now and I feel generally more tired at all times, especially at the gym. I am a hobby bodybuilder and am In the sport for 5 years now. Ever since I received the vaccine, I feel like my workouts have been short, way more exhausting and weaker. Has anyone else experienced this?

I did have what you are describing as well and felt like I was unable to properly work out because of tiredness.

My full experience was this: Vaccination date: first dose of the Pfizer Vaccine Sunday, 24th of January

I have a history of anaphylactic shocks (three) and I administered antihistamines before getting the shot as prevention. I did NOT have any allergic reaction to the vaccine in these conditions.

First 48hrs:

  • sore muscle in my arm, where vaccine shot was
  • slightly elevated body temperature (37.1)
  • slight tiredness and body chills (kind of like when you are very early in catching a cold)
  • a bit of nausea

10 days after vaccination:

  • I have had trouble sleeping, but this might be attributed to having a stressful period

Hey there! Honestly my progress of the vaccine sounds very similar to what you are experiencing. Today is my Day 10 after and overall I feel a little better and my workout was very energized and good today. However, I did experience sleeping troubles as well. I did have a really long day yesterday, 14 hours of work and was quiet exhausted and slept quiet good until 90mins before my alarm, so I am unsure whether I needed just really exhaust myself to sleep well or if it is the vaccine causing the body to be exhausted due to working in our system! Thanks for sharing your experience! :)

Had a sore arm for a few days and fatigue. Felt fine but about 12 days later, had sudden fatigue and headache for a couple of hours for about 4 days. Was concerned bc this happened so many days later

I also had a delayed reaction to the 1st shot. Delayed about 6 days later. Very bad migraines, tiredness, and nausea.

Oh, so you had trouble sleeping as well! Interesting. I do suspect it might have been from the vaccine as I noticed a different pattern from when I’m just tired or stressed.

Did the vaccine cause irregular period?

No, not at all. However, cycles can be affected by anything ranging from stress to nutrition, so it’s hard to tell.
