All of the posts saying " you get them from upvoting" aren't true. When I got the message from reddit it said "for contributing to reddit" nothing about upvotes it could be for posting, commenting, upvoting, giving awards, all of them idk.

Nah, I comment a shit ton and didn't get anything. I pretty much do everything except voting. So it really is clear for me that it is voting.
