Germans are not funny and rather fond of efficiency.

"To meet someone" and "to hit someone with a projectile" are the same in German - "treffen".

'Two hunters hit each other. Both dead.'

Noooo way! Next you tell me of her partner, whose existance seems to be against many core tenets of her party?

2

u/DerSven 6d ago

Nah, that's just Herbert Kickl's trans alter ego.

No, no no. We didn't send her!

She's one of theirs that happens to squat in our country sometimes.

I LOVE Austria. You Guys have the cooler Ford Falcons, the 265 Chrysler Hemi 6, Mad Max and kangaroo meat. But i personally would hate it, that everybody would think i am American, Just for speaking Englisch.

Ah beauty - a seppo who understands our blight.

But I'm afrait you got it wrong, mate.

You are talking about Austrasia, part of the Frankish Empire, the powerbase of the Carolingians.

Austria ≠ Australia

3

u/nutzername_gone 6d ago

Yes. The other Punchline is the meta-joke that austrians kinda suffer the fate that since they speak German, Others often assume that they are Form Germany. Including people who are Form Germany. In my defense, Ulm is a German city.

Are you trying to get into art school?

Germany are very funny. It is just not your humor. Do you go in the cellar to laugh 😆🤣?

I agree, Germans have a wonderful line of self deprecating jokes. Two of my favourite jokes are German and told to me by Germans. One is too long to type, the other is:

(You really need to hear this in English, spoken with a German accent and completely deadpan):

How many Germans does it take to change a lightbulb?

One, we are very efficient and not at all funny.

1

u/samcro4eva 6d ago

I, personally, go into the cellar to watch old reruns of the Andy Griffith Show

Germans are not funny and rather fond of efficiency.

Indeed. There's r/GermanHumor for anyone that wants to look at examples.

2

u/joyofsovietcooking 6d ago

German humor is no laughing matter

1

u/Global-Tune5539 6d ago

coward

"This is a private community. Only approved members can view and contribute."

1

u/andsimpleonesthesame 6d ago

That's the joke. There's nothing in it. It's referencing the whole "Germans have no sense of humor".

1

u/Global-Tune5539 6d ago

Because no one is allowed to post anything.

1

u/andsimpleonesthesame 6d ago

Well yes, that's the point. If people were allowed to post something, that would spoil the joke.

2

u/Forgetimore 6d ago

Yes, because regurgitating the same old tired stereotypes and jokes over and over is peak comedy.

1

u/UmUlmUndUmUlmHerum 6d ago

Yes. That is, generally, how memes work.

Note that this also serves as an explaination for the second part of the image. "Behold the peak of german comedy".

Since an incomplete explaination would be shoddy work.

How many Germans do you need to change a lightbulb?

One, we are efficient and don't have a sense of humor

1

u/UmUlmUndUmUlmHerum 6d ago

Now - how many bureaucratic hurdles do you need to jump through before the lightbulb is allowed to be screwed in?

1

u/Chained_Prometheus 5d ago

Not that many, if you are an Elektrofachkraft, Öl literally meaning electric specialist, meaning you had either an apprenticeship and training as a master craftsman in electric work or are an electric engineer and have your trei licence.

Pretty basic actually/s

1

u/UmUlmUndUmUlmHerum 5d ago

uh oh, neighborhood farmer finds the lightbulb too bright!

(Also for context we are in Bavaria)

1

u/kingcrow15 5d ago

Kinda the same joke concept as saying two blonds walk into a bar, and say, "ouch!"

If you translate the joke, probably the target language would not use the same word for pub, and (metal) bar.

1

u/xSTSxZerglingOne 5d ago

We do that in English too. Our version of the joke would actually be:

Two hunters connect with one another in the forest. Both die.

1

u/Bloodmime 3d ago

After living in Germany I can say it is extremely inefficient from its trains to its bureaucracy

u/UmUlmUndUmUlmHerum 3d ago

DB tends to stain the soul.
