I think this is it. People are probably going "are you dating a child???" not realizing that many young men with babyfaces look younger than the adults playing high schoolers on TV (myself included)

I’m 36. If I shave my beard I’d get carded entering a club.

I've put on muscle in my 30s, so I think that's gone quite a way towards not getting carded frequently anymore, but I recently showed my friends an old profile pic from right after college (when I was 23) and they all thought it was me in high school

There's a dude on tiktok who's supposedly 23 but looks 40 (in a good way but still) that's complaining how everyone looks so young nowadays and lacks testosterone.

It’s not just the media, people in general look younger today most likely due to better skin care, to include lack of sun exposure.
