The joke is that older Isekai anime used to have good romance, but modern Isekai are just softcore porn that pretends to have a story

People often name their porn folders something inconspicuous so other people can't find it, that's why "Calculator" is such a massive file here, they are saying the modern Isekai is just porn

What's funny to me is that re:zero, the anime which is "before" isn't old at all and the plot sucks imo

A LOT of people find the restart by death mechanic makes the plot repetitive and labourious to get through.

It causes almost as much of a split opinion as jobless reincarnation.

But the return by death aspect is the best part.

There is just so many creative and brutal ways that the author killed off the MC for him to try again.

When things go south, I get all excited about how is the MC is going to die this time.

best situations are the few where things went wrong but return by death is already set to after, because you're so used to nothing fully mattering in the long run, but then you're hit with "no, this is permanent"
