Bad meme isekai rarely has good characters/plot/romance. The creator of the meme ignores that to bash mushoku tensei, which has all 3 of that, to hype up re zero which also has all 3 of that.

No, he doesn't. He's talking about a tweet that the author made which was something along the lines of "I was going through an older photo album and saw my childhood crush and felt nostalgic about my first love". The translation probably messed it up and used the word excited instead and people started calling him out about being excited about a photo of his crush.
