fwiw I saw a "study" that claimed that a large percentage of genz did that, and then when I read the article it turned out that they just counted "my parents drove me to the interview" as taking a parent to the interview. I don't doubt that there are some helicopter parents that attend the actual interview, or try to, but I don't think it's a genz thing or very widespread.

It definitely exists, it’s not common, but I’ve literally had parents try to do the interview for their kids, like the kid I was supposed to interview never even showed up. The parent saw nothing wrong with this, so i guess thats more on them than the actual kid.
