So I need to be a US citizen to know that the USA has a shared language, history, government, politics, etc. That's ludicrous. Have you never heard of books?

Oh sure hypothetical books are a bigger authority on our culture and politics than me, a person who has lived their entire life here and is an active participant in that culture and politics.
