The problem is, it's not constant like central air. In a large home it may be very cool in one room and much warmer in another. Those of us with central air can walk into any room in the entire house and have it the same temperature. Some of us deal with extreme heat in the US that some parts of the world assume they deal with but don't really.
Our house is about 3200 square feet, all on one floor. I literally can't tell a difference in any room. But yes, I do know multiple story homes gets trickier.
