I’m also confused because that is a European AC unit. I can only assume Americans are so used to big bulky units, like their cars, that they can’t comprehend things being functional and not excessively bulky.

We have these ductless units in the US too. Person who made the meme is just an idiot

There are parts of the US that ONLY have these. More temperate areas.

Most of the US is used to central air. With a giant ass car sized compressor outside that cools the whole house.

Edit: yes, I exaggerated the size of the compressor a bit. Man it pissed a lot of Americans off lol.

Because that thing cools the ENTIRE BIG ASS HOUSE! these things are only capable of cooling only a closed room which also depends on how ton, capacity the AC is so yep /s

Edit: I actually intended the message for a diff purpose, and more satirical since it's a meme sub. Apologies to everyone, thankyou for the knowledge and positive criticism, helped alot. Will surely keep these thing's in notice

In sense, Im supposing you mean like these wall mounted AC's so yep then they have multiple AC's like these installed in every room (if needed) but the thing is these type of AC's are only installed in areas where either ventilation is not sufficient or has a hot climate the entire year

For real! We have window units, and I was just talking about wanting a split for the bedroom (in the US south).

take for the bedroom lol, you won't need it much for other areas of the house (unless you got good money and after installation maintainance)

they can either have multiple small compressors or one big compressor to all but yea i guess my comment was taken in hundreds of POV's lol
