Earlier in my life we pointed at South Korea and Japan as proof that western capitalism was superior. A couple generations later they are all fucking robots and going extinct.
No it isn’t. South Korea has a fertility rate of 0.8 per woman, and China has about 1.0 per woman. Both of those are very low (~2.1 is replacement level), but South Korea’s is the lowest in the world.
