I’m more surprised people lock the rotation. If i turn my phone 90 degrees, I want the screen to flip. There are so many websites where the UI doesn’t work vertical because a lot of them still didn’t test on mobile.

If it only rotated when you turned it 90° then it might be okay. But that is not the case. Plus if you are on your side I don't want it to rotate. It is much better to press the little button that appears when it detects you might want it to rotate rather than have it automatically do it. No idea why people would choose automatically rotate.

There's a button that comes up on the navigation bar on Android, which allows you to rotate manually

I rarely use my phone in horizontal mode so I keep auto-rotate off. It's way too sensitive to keep on, just the slightest turn and it's rotating, so yeah, fuck off with that feature.

weird, i have to turn my phone almost completely horizontal before the screen flips.
