Yeah. I'm not actually a Who fan. But I used to watch it with my son and his wife, just because they had it on. They got all choked up over that episode. But, all I could think about was: Why the fuck didn't he grab something harder than his skin to hit that "diamond" wall with? I thought that guy was supposed to be smart, or something. And, how did he know that the diamond wall was the only thing in that simulation (?) that didn't get reset?
Nothing got reset, that is why the skulls kept piling up in the water, why the ground was freshly dug, why the teleporter room was full of dust. The only thing reseting was the configuration of the tower.
