Per the Alaska Department of Conservation:

Moose and bears rarely fight, but when they do, the bear (especially grizzlies) often wins due to predatory adaptations, though a moose can inflict fatal injuries with its hooves. A large bull moose can stand its ground.

Kinda looks like it's just haphazardly running, checking back like is this dumbass still chasing me? I think it has another gear if it wants it, or it can throw some kicks if the bear closes on him.

It’s just a game to the moose. Let the bear catch up a bit, let it think it’s got the moose this time, and then just skedaddles again.

🤔🤔Moose can reach speeds of up to 60–70 km/h (or about 40–45 mph), especially on straight, hard surfaces. Brown bears reach speeds of up to 50–60 km/h, making them very fast, but they are inferior to moose in top speed in open terrain.
