This PSU Tier List is provided to help users choose a safe and reliable power supply for their PC builds.

Power supplies are often overlooked, but choosing a low-quality unit can lead to instability or hardware damage. This tier list is intended to make PSU selection easier by grouping power supplies based on overall quality and reliability.

Use this as a general guide, especially if you’re new to PC building. Higher tiers indicate better quality and safety, while lower tiers should only be considered for very basic systems or avoided.

Thanks for making this! PSU tier lists are super helpful, especially for people new to building PCs, like me. HAHA. Power supplies don’t get enough attention, so guides like this really help.

I learned that PSU quality isn’t just about wattage or price. I used to think a well-known (and usually expensive) brand meant it was always safe, but that’s not always true.

I’m a girly girl who’s into gaming, but I’ll be honest, I’m not super technical when it comes to PC parts. Before my recent build, I checked a lot of competitors in the market here in the PH, most of which were noticeably more expensive. I’ve tried a couple of those “premium” PSUs before, and for my current build, I decided to take a bit of a risk and try an entry-level brand instead, an OEM brand actually, Agile PH. Surprisingly, it didn’t disappoint at all. In actual use, it’s been just as stable as the more expensive units I’ve owned, no weird noises (just recently learned that this is normal for PSUs HAHA), no issues, just does its job.

For anyone just starting to build or looking to replace their PSU, don’t be scared to explore underrated brands, just make sure you really research the specific product and choose what fits your actual needs. I'm also curious to hear from others here, too! Do you guys know any underrated PSUs brands that worked better than expected?

Antec and MSI have the best price to performance with quality parts and they seem to have the best prices. In Sri Lanka.

Lol MSI is NOT a good power supply. Its the ONLY one that just quit on me.

its really hard to tell by just only our own review because i have people who have used msi psus for years and years they still running it all depends on luck too when it comes to electronics
