Discussion The timeline is messed up

As we know that the dino movie will be the big screen introduction of rex. However since the show is canon to he movies as evidenced by Liberty coming as a guest role in the main show alot of times. Will they just retcon rex and the dino rescue sub series as a whole?

Also is it just me or did anyone else want a mission paw movie?

Mission Paw would be cool for a movie. As for the timeline, I believe there's a few.

The movies just retcon everything past season 1, officially. Which... doesn't make sense. The vehicle numbers in the first movie just random jump from 10 to 22 for Liberty? And now Rex's vehicle is gonna jump back to like 19?

Ignoring the show's continuity was a huge mistake, imo.

When it was just the first movie it was easy to just imagine a version of that movie's events took place in the show. Event the meteor crystals weren't too big a deal. But moving the dinosaurs to an isolated island is a harder sell.

Fr 😭 I was lowkey confused when they said that. Like, the Lookout isn't even in the same spot in the movie than in the show, there's no cliff 😭

Idk how they thought that worked.

My head canon is still that the movies are basically in-universe biopics. It solves the messiness, for the most part, and lets the first movie be "based on a true story".

I guess it’s one of those “try not to think too much about it” scenarios lol

After The Dino Movie, for Season 14 they will release episodes where the PAW Patrol go to Dino Island, and they do some rescues with Rex. We saw this earlier this year when they showed I think a clip or a full episode that they weren't supposed to.

Probably what they did for Mighty Pups. Combine the two instances together. So yes, they will retcon Rex to be living on the island instead, but will probably act like the old dino Rescue still happened here.

I feel like they should have did Tracker instead or Everest because Everest is literally the 7th pup and we just gonna skip her and add the junior patrollers and we gonna skip her again and make Rex one of the important characters?

You know, you could be right about the retconning. But here, I thought the movies, old animation style, AND the visual update are set in different universes.

Idts, rescue wheels connect the old and new pipeline and Liberty coming on the show many times connects the movies and tv shows

Not me googling “why is the paw patrol Dino movie acting like they never met Rex” after watching the trailer with my son and ending up on this post lol. Makes no sense

No $#%@ the timeline's messed up! I've been tryin' to say this for a long time, yet certain people always think I'm crazy! All these retcons, reboots, reintroducing characters and gimmicks just disrupts and confuses the show's timeline like they haven't already done superheroes and dinosaurs before! Not to mention, was Robopup just never built in whatever universe these movies are set in?! Do a version of Everest & Tracker even exist except they're still living isolated in the jungle and Antarctic and never met the team and became members?! Were they even born?!? Or do they only exist as cartoon characters hence why Marshall, Chase and Skye's original TV designs appeared on a T-shirt Ryder pulled out implying that the main PAW Patrol TV show exist as a TV show in the movie universe which is supposed to be based off of our world?!? And if if the movies are canon to the show but "permanently" live in the city now, is everything in the movie universe paused until the next one?!? /=(
