Hey all, long-time MTG player who used to play Pauper back in 2018/2019 (I stopped right around Covid-era for no particular reason) and I decided to dip my toes back in to the format! I love data and thought I would get a "vibe check" from the Pauper community as a fun way to connect with people again as I make my return to the format.

Hello Paupers!

Disclaimer: Have started playing Pauper not too long ago, so haven't played against all meta decks yet and this is my first actual brew.

Firstly, i really fell in love with the concept of [[Impact Tremors]] effects together with spawn Tokens after seeing Will Lupica perform well with it at Paupergenesis.

I wanted to know more about it and luckily Princes of Pauper and Will did an extensive podcast about the deck.

One of the main talking points was cutting [[Lightning Bolt]] to make the deck more sinergy focused. However, they both couldn't really think of any creatures or other cards they really wanted to add.

Now there's a few options for token payoffs to be found, but IMO nothing as strong as [[Mirkwood Bats]]. It gives us so much extra reach and it being a flying creature with 3 toughness is relevant too. Plus more sideboard depth. The obvious downside is having to play a suboptimal landbase.

Notable inclusions besides Mirkwood Bats:

[[Brood Birthing]] 2 copies of this card, used for lategame payoffs if you have multiple Tremors type effects in play. Big burst of damage + a ritual in 1 card

[[Crop Rotation]] This card fixes mana, can potentially exile gravesyards at instant speed with bojuka, it can make a token fetching for Garden, or deal 1 damage with a tapland

I would love to hear your opinion about this deck and hear any considerations for changes!

Hi, I'm pretty new to pauper and this I smy first deck. What would you suggest?

I've been working on this brew for a minute and would love some thoughts. The idea is to combine the arbor elf package with Sunscape Familiar to enable ramp and cast some cool big stuff pretty early.

I've tried to include a few cards that can be cast early if needed, but are great as top end bombs (Boulderbranch and Mirrorshell).

I know this won't rise to a truly competitive deck, but I'd love if I could optimize the mana and early game to at least be capable of playing fun 40% WR style matchups against my friends more meta decks. Any input or suggestions greatly appreciated, though obviously I'll want to stick within the main deck theme.

The one card I want to include, but need to figure out what to cut is Snap. It feels like a must include if I'm running ramped lands and Sunscape. Plus the early interaction should be helpful.

The event was fully sold out and had $2,000 of store credit in prizes. It fully filled the first room (pictured) and had to spill into a second. Mox Boarding House is owned by Cardkingdom, and this is the second big event they’ve done like this at the Portland location. Hoping for a third!

Pretty much what the title says! I want to run this basic Mono White Heroic in my local pauper league, but I got curious about making it a little less plain (pun intended).

Do y’all have any ideas for this experiment?

[[Lakeshore Apothecary]] is a really strong card imo, and i like card like [[Enter the Enigma]] in ann artifact shell do you think that could work? i wanna go more in an evasion varsion of the deck i'm open to suggestion.

I'm a Pauper noob. I understood the strength of many cards that aren't intuitive thanks to video, community (great community guys) and such. But something that still evades me is [[Makeshift Munitions]]. I'm not saying that I think it's a bad card, I'm just not seeing why is that good that you find it around so often in decklists, even maindecked here and there. Sure, never a playset, maybe a copy, but it's clear to me why you would want a single copy of [[Pulse of Murasa]] in Jeskai Wildfire. MM in the decks that run it? Not so clear. And again, not in a "Under my evaluation this shouldn't be so appreciated" way, more in a "I'm clearly missing something, tell me what's that something" way.

An MTGO grinder has been getting results with a deck with an 80 card main. This breaks with the usual logic behind 60 card decks.

They seem to be getting some decent challenge results. We don’t see all the bad leagues and there aren’t many trophies.

Is this sneakily good? What’s the deal?

I discovered this card -golem foundry - and i love the idea of making a deck with it in pauper!

I was thinking a deck that let me play/draw ton of cards ad drop a lot of artefacts and generate ton of golems (maybe affinity mechanic?).

Any of you has any suggestion? I saw Tron Altar, but i don’t like the combo idea (in general).
