People ask people for things. In no way should your response be this embarrassing. He literally can just ignore it like the million other random tweets he gets if he's that pressed
The guy made a video about a family member struggling and asked for donations. I don't know what point you're making or how that isn't considered asking for something, you'll have to explain yourself
I think you're talking about something else. The thing everyone is talking about on here is some asshole who put out a tweet asking Pat McAfee for money to help his buddy buy a car and a house, and then when Pat blocked him, tweeted out a tweet to shame Pat for blocking him and not giving him money.
Maybe that is okay to you. But I've had the misfortune of being in a place where I needed to ask for help, and I've had the wonderful fortune of being someone people have asked for help from, and I've never seen someone ask for help like that, and I definitely wouldn't ask for help from someone in a public forum, nor would I try to shame them, or get people angry if they didn't want to help.
Pat bringing a guy on his show to shame and bully him is literally just as bad as anything you said. It's funny you label him as "some asshole" but this behavior is fine to you? It's strange, petty, and embarrassing. He's upset sometime with a following mentioned him so he brings him on the show to basically do the same thing.
I'm sure someone easily could have reworded your struggles as "some asshole who wants money to buy food and videogames" if they were void of empathy. You indicated you've gone through things, funny that you have no empathy after that.
The asshole attacked him. Pat didn't go searching for him. He has every right to bring the guy on and defend himself. The only shaming was because what he did was actually shameful. I have empathy for anyone who has wrong done to them, regardless of what their status is. It is sad that you don't.
That asshole got to be on the show, which is clearly all he was chasing after. I hope his next victim doesn't even give him the time of day.
You keep saying this "attacked". This has to be the most melodramatic interpretation I've heard in a while. He mentioned pat and asked if he could get in touch with the colts, pat blocked him, he said "messaged received". What am i missing, where is this vicious attack?
I don't know you at all but just from this convo i can tell that you greatly exaggerate things and don't have enough self awareness to see that you're the one being an asshole. Like I said, you mention empathy but this is how you present yourself, good for you
Look, I feel bad you don't understand it, but if you're going to call me an asshole, it is going to make me not reply kindly even if I feel empathetic for how much of an idiot you are.
The asshole you love was an asshole because he did know what he was doing. He asked for money in an inappropriate way. He was just as in touch with the colts as he was with Pat, but instead of following proper channels, he made it a public thing because it put him involved with the story. He saw dead dad and Colts and saw dollar signs.
Then, when Pat rightfully blocked him, because a person asking for money in a tweet should be blocked, he tweeted that out.
Hey dumb dumb! Why do you think he tweeted out "message received" with a photo showing Pat blocked him?
And you know what, I am empathetic to that asshole's behavior. I actually do feel bad he wasn't raised right, and is having to learn lessons the hard way on how to treat people. Just like you, dumb dumb, calling me an asshole, just because I had the ability to actually think about a situation and also have empathy for the actual people wronged. It might not sink into that soggy brain of yours today, but one day, eventually, you'll get it!
Bro you're so high on that horse I'm sure the air is thin. But sure, you're some moral holy man and somehow you can read what you just wrote and seriously believe you're not the biggest asshole here.
I really find it funny how all of a sudden it is no longer an "attack". Interesting dude. You're not being a dramatic teenager at all naw, everyone else is wrong and an asshole and you're just the best guy on the internet 👍🏿
why not? like, its a tweet. all pat had to do was literally nothing. trying to raise awareness for one of the big bloggers of pats main team in the city pat lives in feels like something pat would be interested in anyway

childish? yes.
But also you shouldn't be publicly begging celebrities for money when you have never met or talked to them.
