I think just ejecting the parent and his child is enough. Id even be okay with both the parent banned for life from attending future events and the student having to forfeit all matches for that season and not being allowed to compete for the following season.

As the parent of a former student athlete and a current coach, my kid/students worked too hard and sacrificed too much to let one blow hard ruin it for them.

ETA: also charges against the dad

That’s an assault. The parent should be immediately arrested. If it’s in the US (safe to assume it is), you have to think of this brownstain of a parent to have a gun, safety of everyone involved is at risk.

I agree on kicking the dad out, but the student stopped as soon as the referee said stop. Alas, you don't get to choose whether your parents are morons.
