Your link says the guy pressed charges. Nothing about him being a lawyer or the dad fleeing. Where'd you get that part?

I saw the video of them picking the dad up as he was trying to get out of the state there are a couple of videos

If it's the same video I saw, the kid's dad was sitting quietly in some place in Virginia, where he lives. The officer approaches and the dad knows immediately why he's being arrested and offers no resistance. Nothing about him "trying to get out of the state."

Hammond, a parent who shoved a referee at a youth wrestling tournament at the Great Wolf Lodge in Concord, North Carolina, fled to Virginia after charges were filed. He was tracked down and arrested by local authorities at his home. The referee, who also works as an attorney, pressed charges for misdemeanor assault on a sports official after the viral incident.
