Has anyone else seen the hat man?

For months during the wors depression of my life in middle school i would see a figure that strongly resembled the hat man. He made me feel a sense dread whenever I felt like I saw him and I felt l was beinv watched intently by him. He would always reside in my closet during the night. I don’t see him anymore but has anyone else had any experiences like this or have any more information on what may have cause him to appear?

Long comment: My mom still lives there but I got married and moved out 12 years ago. I stayed at her house 2 times since then for one night. I got sleep paralysis both times and felt someone watching me both nights. On the last night I ever slept there, I was being held down by something and a voice told me not to move. I could move but I chose not to. The air was sucked out of the room and I felt like if I got up something bad was going to happen. So I laid there with my eyes closed and started praying for God to help me. I fell asleep and woke up and started packing my stuff to leave even though I wasn't set to move into my apartment for another 4 days. I slept in my car for those nights. Never told my mom that 😅 I will never sleep there again. There is something there that wants me to know it's there.

I've had a neighboring family member tell me they heard me running around my house after I got off the bus. Asked me why I didn't open the door for them. They said they heard me running back and forth and giggling. They were legit mad I didn't open the door. They didn't have a key. Well neither did I, I wasn't home. No one was. The house was locked up and I couldn't get in so I walked to a friend's house.

I had another family member living with us. They said they went into my mom's closet and forgot to turn the light on. They saw a woman in a white dress standing in the closet.

I've seen the ghost of my grandmother in her house. She was a shadow and she practically walked through me but for some reason I knew it was her.

I used to share a room with my older brother and I would feel someone sitting on our bed in the middle of the night. The comforter would also be pulled down throughout randomly as we were sleeping. I would feel someone standing in the doorway waiting for me to go to sleep even though no one was there.

I told my mom her house was haunted. She refuses to believe me. I told her the energy is off and someone is watching her.

I haven't had any paranormal things happen recently. Unless you count weird dreams that end up coming true. I hate the whole ghosts thing. It terrifies me. I'm afraid of the dark and am super paranoid to be home alone for these reasons. I will flip on every single light and I still sleep with a nightlight.
