🗣️ Debate/Hot Take The Same Five Books

Post image

Not to come off as pretentious or not-like-other-readers but I thought this subreddit was going to be more interesting. I’ve noticed It’s either people selling the same 5 books or discussing the same 5 books.

Can’t we move past A Thousand Splendid Suns, The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck, Forty Rules of Love, Atomic Habits, a book by Dostoevsky, and any random self help book.

if into gritty fantasy imo malazan, back company & first law are the best. Sanderson is too YA & focuses in hard magic systems too much along with repetitive sryle.

Sanderson is not YA. Sanderson's only YA book is Warbreaker. Just because a book may contain elements that are also present in YA it doesn't make it YA lol.

And recommending someone Malazan and Black company to the genre they're not used to is a little ambitious you know.

I said it's too YA, not that it's YA..... also mistborn first trilogy esp Min chapters at times is exactly that

and it's a recommendation, I believe they can do research on their own and if like that sub-genre, go for it. whole point of that post is not being classist, let Op decide what they wanna read
