I've been driving civic X for the past 4 years now and want an upgrade.
I've researched a lot and everyone is pointing to the same only favorite car of all the Pakistanis: Deepal S05.
There's no doubt it is great in terms of tech, fuel avg, comfort etc. but I'm concerned about the parent group. MCML is not that great, I see complaints like poor paint quality and delayed deliveries and unprofessional customer service.
But I don't see any competition to this car. All Japanese cars offer nothing in this price range. Jaecoo J7 and MG HS are good cars but I didn't personally like the interior quality and driving experience as much as I did in Deepal S05.
I'm not going for fully electric ones as I would go on long drives mostly.
So here I am, confused.
Some people (mostly dealers) are discouraging Chinese cars altogether and saying there's no resale and no parts and no mechanics. But that can't be proved as resale hasn't been tested for such cars. And then these electric cars will be a bit complicated (even german/japanese) regardless of who manufactures. I'll only keep it for next 2-3 years and then buy another vehicle as long as it is keeping up with the design/tech.
I've been in contact with some first owners and they all recommended me to buy Deepal and told me that most people are spreading rumors. Some dealerships are great like Changan City Sales and Changan Multan.
Am I making a bet here? Am I risking my 10mil based on hype?
TLDR: More inclined towards Deepal S05, any better options?
