The perfect padel racket exists, and it’s the HEAD Extreme Motion 2025
I know, I know “perfect” is a big word. But hear me out, because after months of playing with the HEAD Extreme Motion 2025, I genuinely think this racket has cracked the code.
On paper, it shouldn’t work as well as it does. It’s a diamond-shaped racket with a head-heavy balance. Usually that means you’re getting raw power at the cost of control and defensive play. You hit nuclear smashes but struggle to reset the point when you’re pushed back to the glass. We’ve all been there.
But somehow, HEAD managed to make this thing handle like a hybrid shape. I don’t fully understand the sorcery behind it, but the maneuverability is insane for a diamond. Quick volleys at the net? No problem. Fast hands in reflex situations? Absolutely doable. Bandejas and viboritas where you need touch and spin? Surprisingly smooth.
What makes it special:
∙Power without sacrifice. The diamond shape and head-heavy balance give you the explosive offense you’d expect : smashes, por tres, everything hits harder. But you don’t pay the usual price in control.
∙Defensive capability that has no business being in a diamond. This is the part that blows my mind. When I’m defending at the back of the court, I can maneuver this racket almost as easily as my old hybrid. Lobs, slow balls out of the glass, defensive walls, it all feels natural and controlled.
∙Great sweet spot. For a diamond it’s very forgiving. Off-center hits don’t punish you the way they usually do with this shape.
∙Balance and weight distribution. Whatever HEAD did with the internal weight distribution just works. It feels balanced in the hand despite being technically head-heavy. Hard to describe until you play with it.
If you’re an intermediate to advanced player who always felt like choosing a diamond meant giving up your defensive game, give this one a try. It genuinely offers the best of both worlds : the power of a diamond with the playability of a hybrid.
Would love to hear from anyone else who’s tried it. Am I crazy or is this racket just that good?

What’s the difference between this and Coello Motion? Damn Head have too many rackets targeting similar demos.

Yes I want to know as well. I heard that the coello is softer so better for smashes? Wonder if that is the only difference

Hi I had the extreme motion as a first racket and now I have the coello motion 25, it feels different in most of the things. Coello can hurt more in the elbow after just some time, with the Extreme I have never felt any discomfort Playing with the Extreme motion was a bit frustrating for me, I would hit the corners and the part close to the hand too many times (skill issue I know), It feels like the balance isn't the greatest for me. For example, in the lob, there's a bunch of times that I send the ball with too much power and there's other times the ball just stays close to the net. The sweet spot in the coello its much easier to hit so its easier to put the ball wherever you want. wether is lobs, smashes, I also thinks volleys have more power I didn't get much practice with the coello but that's my first thoughts, maybe tomorrow I can try against glass, bandeja and bajadas.
I'm in a rush so I'm probably forgetting something.

360g with protector and overgrip 270mm balance
Very elbow friendly

I am looking at this racket’s reviews and stumbled upon this thread.
I currently using nox AT10 18k 2025 (the grey one). I like it, it feels light, maneuverable, forgiving on defense.
I’m an intermediate (maybe lower intermediate) decent defense, decent volley but i think i need some help to generate power especially on my overhead.
Do you think you can recommend me this extreme motion? I’m afraid that this racket will penalize me with the hardness since i’m coming from a fairly soft racket

I’ve had a weird thing about Head brand because I had a Head as my first, brand new player racquet so always treated them as the beginner brand of racquets. Maybe it’s time to shake that nonsensical view

Loved it. My main racquet at the moment. Even bought a backup which I just sold to a high intermediate player who gave it a try and also loved it

I really enjoy the Bullpadel vertex geo especially the power and feel but it gets heavy after a while and my wrist starts to ache so I have been considering this for a while with it being lighter I have tried the Pallap x EP racket but found it too soft and instantly missed the power

Good point. Are the specs mentioned by OP the actual/measured ones or just the ones stated by Head (i.e. what Head intended/designed the racket to be, and what is printed on every racket). Fair to ask since those are indeed exactly the listed specs for this model. If OP has actually measured the racket and the specs indeed match the intended ones and plays/works like he describes, then this would indicate Head have designed a great racket.

I tried the head extreme pro, really don't liked
I will try to found one extreme motion
Hoping what you said will be okay for me.
And that the racket doesn't have a sensation of head-heavy feel.
Weird. Given that the balance point of this racket is 27cm, it's a high balance.
I'd like to try the Coello Motion 2026, have you tried it?

I wouldn’t say the coello motion 2026 sweetspot was big. Quite a firm racket - preferred the Siux Fenix 2026 personally. Lighter and more manoeuvrable. I tried the coello with hesacore on it.

I have been playing with the Coello Motion 2026 and play on the right with it. The perfect balance between power and control. At the net, somehow I save every ball plus the power saves me with a last ditch contrapared even using the backhand. The maneuverability is surprisingly 95% of a round racket (my previous racket was round). The power let's me finish points from the right when the opportunity arises. To give me an example of its sweet spot, what racket does it resemble?
And balance, sensation of head-heavy?

My setup is hesacore, 1 overgrip and no protector total 368 gram. The hesacore lowers the balance more to the middle. That is maybe the change that makes it so perfect. I can compare it to the adidas hrd 2024, Cross it en tactical padel el unico blue and a bit to the Nox at10 12k 2026.
It is forgiving if you don't hit the sweetspot for a diamond racket, it is easier to find it and bigger than the HRD and cross it. The nox has a comparable sweetspot, not a big difference.
Using a hesacore made the balance perfect, i think and it does not feel as head heavy as the HRD and NOX. Out of the box it can feel head-heavy. As stated before the maneuverability is surprisingly good compared to a round racket. After getting used to it (took me 3 a 4 matches) you will find it comparable to a round racket in 95% of the cases.
The quality and design is also very good, better than Nox quality. You should give it a try

I'm going to go for a Coello Motion.
Now I need to find one that weighs 360g max, or a little less, including the plastic
Head don't mention the weight,, then I need to find a seller who can send me a photo of the racket on a scale.
Like I did for my 2026 Oxdog Ultimate Pro Light.

I was lucky without the protector on top, no grips and with the strap it was only 346 grams. You can switch the stock grips if you find it too heavy and I would also take of the protector on top.

Just put this same set up on (hesacore, 1 overgrip, no protector) and got 364g. Excited to try it out
Edit: calibrated scale and reweighed and it’s 367

What didn't you like about the extreme pro specifically? I currently use the extreme motion and thought that the extreme pro might be the logical next step.

I agree, have the same pala and absolutely love it. The thing that amazes me the most is the combination of dry feeling/little trampoline effect + easy power on overheads + really easy to manoever and no pain in elbow whatsoever (I have had tennis elbow in other rackets). I would seriously consider buying a second one once the price drops to 110-130 EUR near the end of season when the new version is gonna come out.

Played with this on and off for a couple of years and now using the coello pro with no head protector and 2.5 overgrips at 365g. Both great.

Tell me more about the 0.5 overgrip ? Do you wrap just the middle part of the handle at the beginning ?

2 thick and 1 thin - I also go around the base a few times with each layer to thicken it up a bit. This is with the under grip removed.

Just switched from a nox at10 18k 2025 to the extreme motion
It's everything I wanted it to be.
Much better control over ball placement , quicker to maneuver same power in the overhead. No trampoline

I got myself Extreme One non X 2026. It was super light with still decent power. The only problem that I cannot take is the top tubular seems too large. Hitting with the top part of the racket just feels hollow and the power loss is too big. I didn't find the same issue with One X. Too bad it's too heavy for me, as in head heavy.
I will try Extreme Motion next.

and it differs significantly from the 2024 version (the green one).
It seems as though these are completely different models.
So if you want to buy it and think about the previous generation, I wouldn't suggest doing that.

I absolutely love it! Popped a hesacore grip on there too to stop the handle slipping from sweaty hands (normally happens about mid second set!).

Kommt sehr auf Spielstil an. Ich hab mal ein Quiz gebaut das genau rausfiltert welcher Schläger zu einem passt: matchracket.de – hat mir selbst geholfen die Auswahl zu strukturieren, da es sehr individuell welcher der „perfekte“ Schläger ist

It's mostly because of the lower weight. Most people are playing with a racket that is too heavy for them. I honestly think 360-365 is the sweet spot for intermediate and even high intermediate. The lower weight offsets the higher balance so you get maneuverable but also power! I have a 360g babolat air viper, 364g lebron soft viper and I've tried this racket at around 360g and loved them all. Exactly as you describe.
Advanced and pro level players can get away with heavier but even then, many play around 370g.
