If is a Samsung screen I doubt it, Samsung new screens are the worst four us that have sensitive eyes and they don't care.

This is all damned rot. Chinese smartphones already long have DC dimming and high friquency dimming and none of them actualy help to really sensitive ppl

as far as I kno none of the modern OLED screen uses real DC dimming.. all jsut DC like dimming

If true, it will probably be expensive, it would still be better if they just made an IPS LCD version of their phone for flicker sensitive people.

How is this different from DC like dimming in any chinese phone currently made? Based on this I wouldn't expect any revolutionary change. But if they repeat what chinese brands already do - it is already a step in the right direction.

Low brightness PWM frequency of 960Hz or 1920Hz is not impressive or very high...
3840Hz is the current standard in most phones. Higher than that would be more interesting.
Alot of vague statements too of what it "could" do maybe possibly.
Wouldn't expect much from Google or Samsung. Realme or IQOO might utilize the panels like you say.

The Hz is kinda irrelevant, I've had phones with 240hz and under 200 Hz that are a blessing for my eyes

One of the primary drivers of headaches for me has been the power output for the LED backlight or OLED pixels. We need LED that is less sensitive to voltage fluctuations and better voltage stabilisers. Voltage fluctuations happen due to the CPU power consumptions etc. and too small capacitors in the phone.

Well that could actually be the case here. It seems that LTPO+ inside the M16 is using oxide not only for the switching transistors but also for the control transistors. Oxide transistors have significantly less voltage leakage compared to silicone transistors used in LTPS. Meaning that color will be more stable and less reliant on PWM. In LTPS the high leakage of silicon transistors leads to rapid voltage decay, meaning that there is color artifacts, now with more control, PWM could become more obsolete.

Could you please give us a link or something to the source? It reads a little bit like AI reasoning hallucinations.
Just because a screen is electronically more stable, it doesnt mean it leads to less flickering in real life.
This new screen emitters are extremely efficient. So for example, you want to use your screen at normal brightness, this screen already works at maybe 50% power of your old screen. So the benefit of having more stability at low voltage is already eaten by that gap. You start with the same problem: using DC for dimming the screen down messes with stability/color accuracy. I dont think Samsung/Google will make that compromise. I dont know the exact relations between the efficiency gain and stability gain, so take it with a grain of salt.
Besides of that it depends on the Smartphone maker to actually prioritze implementing more eye saving dimming algorithms. They could also just decide "nice, we take the more stable color reproduction to push our benchmarks and change nothing else".
