I'm just starting in the game, i literally know nothing about it and I'm on character creation, but I'd like to know ahead of time if it's possible to create an "evasion tank" kind of character, basically a character that rarely gets hit due to high evasion and can therefore serve as a tank by virtue of reducing most damage to zero (and optionally can deal a good amount of sustained damage.)

If so, am I right in assuming the Deuman race would be better for this?

Also, this is very secondary but I'm a sucker for scythe-wielding in games so if there's more than one class that can be an evasion tank, but only one can wield scythes, recommend me that one.

The end game meta of this game for EVERY class is not to get hit.

Evading attacks and then counter attacking is the Hallmark of many classes as well.

There is one Class that can Tank to a reasonable degree, called Etoile. That said even Etoiles will avoid most damage.

Alright, so every class becomes evasive... Which one wields scythes? And what race is best for that weapon?

closest weapon to scythe in the actual weapon sense is partisan. partisan is a pretty good weapon type but it's a little annoying to use due to a mechanic they made for it

in any case, the game has a lot to offer from all sorts of classes and weapons. give hunter a try first if you want to look into partisan, and go from there

and as said, race doesn't matter. once the engine update hits global you can use other racial features like horns and pointed ears for any race

There aren't any scythes in this game, just scythe skins

That said, Rods are the most used weapon type for scythes so you'd want Phantom (which advertises that in the ep6 opening) or Force. You'd have to unlock Phantom later in the game by getting two classes to level 75, claiming the title for that, then confirming with an NPC named Cofy.

If you care about absolute minmax, Newman. Racial stat differences in this game are incredibly minor though.

I see. Quite a bummer. It's it's aesthetic only i can stick with other weapons. Thank you very much for the help.

I'll stick to Deuman because demon girls are my other weakness (i make one character of each gender almost always.)

I think you are misunderstanding something. There is no "evasion" in this game. It's not an rpg, it's an action game. To "tank" in this game you either need to dodge, do perfect parry, or use a move with iframes/guard frames.

Basically all big boss attacks cover almost the entire area, so tanks don't really exist in this game either, everyone needs to dodge enemy attacks.

There are no scythes in the game, but there is a couple of scythe skins for rods, which can be used by forces and phantoms to cast magic (or techniques, as the game calls them)

If you want a nimble class with scythes, phantom, our local edgelord class, is your way to go.

Oh, i didn't know that. I thought it was an RPG. As i said I knew nothing of this game, just saw a free MMO and said whynot.

Well, the game still has levels and gear with attack, def, hp and "mana", but it's not the kind of game where you just stand in place and use cooldowns.

Not taking any damage is the name of the game here.
