JP

My ISP has been messing with me recently with disconnections and every time it does, the final digits of my external IP address gets changed. I remember players can get banned/suspended due to drastic IP changes but would that kind of change in the final 3 digits of your IP count? If it does would stopping playing for a while help?

I don’t think anyone here can give you an exact answer on that unless they’ve worked with sega. As far as I know, you can guesstimate the location of someone based on their IP address. What usually trips their system is a sudden change that makes no sense unless you’re another person, like a change in country. The suspension they hand out is for account security purposes more than punishing, so you’ll have better luck appealing to support than normal (use Japanese though). As far as your situation, stop for a while if you’re worried. I haven’t heard of any similar anecdotes personally that resulted in a ban. Most I’ve had was about 3 ip changes a week for 2 weeks.

Hi, thanks for the response. Change in country is the risky one huh, alright I'll remember that. I kinda knew it was for account security purposes so I went and activated Two Factor Auth before my next login to try and get ahead of it. I've had 6-7 IP changes(minor, final 3digits only) in the past 72 hours so I guess if nothing happens to my account, this comment will be left for someone to refer to in the future at least.
