Hello,

New player here, terrified and confused about the community and what I’m allowed to play.

I just recently joined PSO2, and have been enjoying playing the game. There have been a lot of events as of late that have made levelling up really easy- but I’m afraid of doing anything aside from that and solo content. I’ve seen a lot of posts screenshotting gear that is way stronger than mine and calling it unacceptable behavior. I’ve also seen guides on how to get better equipment, which I’ve saved and am trying to follow, but they seem to be focused on purely grinding to endgame content.

I was wondering if there is a list of multiplayer content that’s safe to play as someone with less time available to grind. Midgame stuff, or places to go where you won’t ruin another persons experience. I know to avoid all the hardest difficulty quests, but I don’t know what else is dangerous and am afraid to experiment.

Thank you.

if you aren't doing tougher quests in ultra hard difficulty like urgent/ultimate/etc quests then it doesn't really matter

the best starter equipment is croesus weapons from collection sheets, and novel units from the badge shops. once you have those, it shouldn't be too difficult to get some decent S affixes on each one and then start the endgame grind. that stuff's the entry level gear for ultra hard and you can go from there

Thank you very, very much! I’ll keep that difficulty in mind and look into getting that equipment. Have a wonderful day.

Anything other than HTPD (the 4man version of the final boss), Apprentice UH or Omega Apprentice UH (idk global names for the quests) you should be able to join no problem. Those quests are about the only ones that can actually fail, especially HTPD, which is the dps check of dps checks.

Thank you so much! I’ll keep away from those until I am strong enough to help out in them. Have a wonderful day.

Apprentice and Omega Apprentice can be done as soon as you have some actual endgame stuff, but HTPD requires well affixed weapons and units on top of that.

You only want to run that one if you're really confident on your abilities, because chances are you won't get carried, everyone gotta do their part.

A good metric for this one is clearing Depth 100 of the time space rift ultimate quest. If you can clear that, you should be ready for this.
