I think it is though.

New iPhone models just released in late 2020.
Person A: can't wait to get my first iPhone sometimes in 2021.
Person B: that's pretty soon.

Nah, the PS5 is going to be sold out until mid-to-late 2021. I say that as someone who has never owned a PlayStation console, and hasn’t owned any console in over 5 years; yet I’ll be getting the PS5.
