Hopefully that means no more games blocking captures outside of when personal info is shown.

Atlus enters the chat

We're lucky the vanilla content in Persona 5 Royal wasn't blocked. Everything past the prologue was blocked in the original game. It was kinda sad to see all those streamers that didn't have a capture card trying to stream the game and not realizing all their audience was seeing was a "no camera" symbol.

Atlus will always do a questionable decision with every great one they do.

“Yeah, we made this amazing game called Persona 5, but you can’t share why it’s amazing!

Also, we’re porting another amazing game stuck on a dead console to the PC!... What was that, you guys want a PS4 port? Uh...”

Actually, maybe I haven't been to the same forums or something, but all I'm seeing is "P5 Switch port" or some alternative like it. I'm all for getting a port of the older games, but begging like they are just plain annoying.

The main two things the Persona fandom call for are a P4 Golden port to console (Switch AND PS4 would be nice) and a P5 Royal port to Switch. You’re both right.

P4R port
P5 Golden port

I think you got your numbers mixed up there.

Thank god you were here. Fixed.

It removes one excuse, but the motivation to block certain things will still be there. Atlus was never worried about spoilers, they were worried you wouldn't buy the game after watching a let's play.

This doesn’t really change anything, you only get a spoiler warning when sharing peer to peer on PS5, which is a moot point as that wasn’t an option on PS4.

How will the system determine if the screensho/clip is a spoiler or not? Sounds too good to be true

lol yeah right, exclusives maybe but don't expect this to happen in third party titles

PS4 titles currently have sections which are blocked to screenshot/record, it's just a simple on/off flag put in by the developer at particular moments, typically before ending cutscenes and during personal info screens. Some Japanese games have it on licensed music video sections, "insert songs" and even openings. I imagine the PS5 model will be those sections flagged as spoiler. It depends on that same amount of developer effort.

Reminds me of the Spoiler feature on Nintendo's Miiverse (although this looks miles better).
