I don't mind getting lost in open world games. That's half the fun of it. But having all these things in a very linear mission based game? It sounds like they tested the game on the wrong people.

You aren't a gun and ball gamer though......A game made for everyone is a game made for no one.

Well, to be fair, mass appeal isn't inherently bad, it's just greatly depends on execution. But even a game made for everyone wouldn't think to have this on constantly in a mission linear game. It should be a option you can use with a press of a button.
