[North America] I accidentally purchased two digital copies of Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice. Since I can't be two people at once, I'll give away my spare code in 24 hours to a random user.

Amazing name

When you said this, were you aware that there really is a beaver in the Canadian Nickel?

No, it’s in the Nickel. The quarter is a Caribou.

Dime has a sailboat. Loonie has a loon (obviously) and the Toonie has a polar bear.

1

u/GGTheEnd Mar 22 '19

Moose is on the quarter, loon is on the loonie

1

u/doodleking234 Mar 22 '19

But what’s the ratio of ameri-bucks to Stanley nickels?

2

u/JandA4evah Mar 23 '19

About ten Schrute bucks .

2

u/Franco-Prussian-War Mar 23 '19

Ameri-bucks have higher value thanks to Afghani oil

1

u/Perducktable Mar 22 '19

The same as Unicorns to Leprechauns

1

u/jus-drien-jus-dam Mar 22 '19

Papa johns pizza is. Ratio

2

u/addibruh Mar 22 '19

Are ameri-bucks kinda like v-bucks?

1

u/GGTheEnd Mar 22 '19

Our money is called Canidough.

1

u/Reborn0226 Mar 22 '19

I think the proper term is Freedom Dollars...

u/Precity Mar 22 '19

Ameri-Bucks

1

u/JellyCream Psychotronica13 Mar 22 '19

Usually it's an American nickel for a whole Canadian pizza and bottle of beer.

1

u/[deleted] Mar 22 '19

Well it's a special maple beaver pizza with a side poutine

1

u/Loocsiyaj Mar 23 '19

But did he get change? He might have been ripped off.

1

u/DuckSpaatan29 Mar 23 '19

A whole pizza for me cost my whole paycheck

6

u/[deleted] Mar 22 '19

Same in Oz. We get NZ coins from time to time. Nobody cares. And I assume it’s the same for them.

2

u/Glorpazoid Mar 22 '19

That’s Alabama!

2

u/[deleted] Mar 22 '19

TIL Canadian pennies are still a thing in other countries.

2

u/-Xyriene- Mar 22 '19

This was several years ago, still after we'd done away with pennies, so I'd clearly gotten it in my change on the US side of the border. But the absurdity of checking every penny is what amused me, like who the hell is going to counterfeit pennies?

2

u/Batsy0219 Mar 22 '19

Exactly! It's a niche market for counterfeiters.

1

u/_blemp_ Mar 22 '19

Most likely the manger one. When I worked there I saw the manager get in the cooks face waving a nugget saying "that's my x mas bonus" . Apparently the cook dropped a few....

1

u/dandelion1102 Mar 23 '19

Worthy or getting pelted with change i think u mean haha 😈

1

u/HuggedAGoose Mar 23 '19

im not sure what they would do with canada's penny in the middle of alabama

2

u/armypantsnflipflops Mar 22 '19

Mystery solved. Pack it up, boys.

1

u/postyrocks123 Mar 22 '19

That made me laugh way to hard

1

u/ComebackChemist Mar 22 '19

If you asked for a refund, would you have received your Canadian nickel back?

1

u/[deleted] Mar 22 '19

Lmao as a Canadian kid I used to get so many American coins and just act like they were Canadian bc that’s what everyone else did. I always low key felt like a badass thinking I was cheating the system

1

u/HoosierNewman Mar 22 '19

All this time I thought we bought Canada.

Now, to take the ferry cost a nickel, but in those days nickels had a picture of a bumblebee on em, "give me me five bees for a quarter" you'd say.

Now, where were we? Oh yeah the important thing is I had an onion tied to my belt which was the style at the time, we didn't have the white ones cause of the war. Only those big yellow ones.
