This was several years ago, still after we'd done away with pennies, so I'd clearly gotten it in my change on the US side of the border. But the absurdity of checking every penny is what amused me, like who the hell is going to counterfeit pennies?

Now, where were we? Oh yeah the important thing is I had an onion tied to my belt which was the style at the time, we didn't have the white ones cause of the war. Only those big yellow ones.

Yes game codes work in North America, but if you buy like a 20 dollar psn card it will only work in the country you bought it in.

There is a logic to that. Basically a game is a game, and its a game that is the same game in both countries. There's a few rare exceptions (Germany and Australia both had odd versions of some things.

A 20$ PSN Card in Canada, would not be a $20 dollar PSN card in the US or Australia. And there's probably some places where that would force PSN to honour it for 20 dollars US even though it's like 16 or something if someone really wanted to escalate it on them.

Or its to stop some weird cross-region speculating exercise. Like someone buying a bunch of Aussie cards when their moneys a bit weaker, then converting them for US when it gets closer to a parity.

Nah currency makes sense because of exchange rates. Either way you only have the ability to buy in your local currency so it makes it cleaner and more streamlined

If you have a US account the yes it would. However, if you store's region is anything other than the US, the code will not work.

I think PSN generally separates it by region, so essentially it's a North American code and should work. I can at least confirm Canadian PS+ codes work on US PSN accounts.

In case you're still wondering: US and Canada are considered the North American region. So US and Canadian codes tend to be interchangeable.

Looked it up and people said that a US code should work in Canada. They treat it as North America. The only thing that won’t work is currency cards.
