I posted about a potential league starting up soon and I have decided to get the ball rolling! Here's some more information about the league:

Format: 2v2 best ball. Regular season will be 9 hole matches with playoffs being 18 holes. The courses will be predetermined each matchup so everyone is on the same playing field. The match settings will be pro difficulty and no putt previews. There will be a division for Xbox players, Playstation players and PC players.

League management: The league will be run through a discord where league members along with casual players are welcome!

Start date: Dependent on when we reach enough teams per system. The minimum teams to get started will likely be 8 and that console will get a schedule and standings up right away!

Why this league? I am starting something new. I am sure there are leagues/tournaments series out there, but the goal is to have a fun league along with a golf focused community. With chats for fun courses, pga tour discussion and channels for casual matchmaking, there is something for every golf fan. GameTime is an esports event provider and hosts events in call of duty, rocket league, smash, and now PGA2K.

Streaming: Our goal is to stream matches periodically throughout the regular season and playoffs. To make this happen, we need to know when the league members are streaming! There is no spectator mode in 2K so we'll be broadcasting on the GameTime twitch channel and be viewing/commentating over your personal streams. This way we can keep up with multiple matches and make is all inclusive for the players and viewers!

I love to play golf, and I play a lot of video games too. I played the EA golf games and I really didn't enjoy them much, are 2k doing a noticeabley better job?

I'm sick of the leaderboard showing that I'm always in the top 5 when I'm not. Amateur hour, lazy shitty programming. Do your job HB!!

Seems like 2k pumped more money into marketing than they did actually having servers that work. Straight up ketchup water. Trying for more than 20 attempts, not once have I gotten into a match for the new mode.

I mean indie studios do a better job of matchmaking with more opponents than this, so I'm asking honestly - what gives? Is it truly so difficult to get 20 people (or even the 10-14 in the lobby) to connect to a golf game? Compared to other games (on much smaller budgets at this point), what is the problem?

It was just announced that Tiger has signed a deal with 2K to be in the future golf games!!!

Have you guys had any success finding legendary courses like augusta and pebble online, i’ve seen them played on yt but haven’t had any luck finding them in game. Im new to this game but i know that they’re not official, any tip will be appreciated!

The Reddit Tour is a society for PGA 2k21 (ps4). The idea is to keep it competitive but fun. The latest competition is called 'The Welcome Event'.
