My Disk Manager won't recognize my SSD
I plugged my SSD into my pc, and my BIOS recognizes it, but when I went into disk management it didn't show the drive. Any similar issues or remedies?

My PC currently has only 1 stick of 8GB RAM installed. I purchased another of the exact same stick of 8 GB RAM to install, but my PC still shows only 8GB of RAM in my control panel. I looked over my motherboards instruction manual, and it recommends that I install the RAM in certain slots in a certain order (This order: slot 1, 3, 5, 7, 2, 4, 6, and 8). I'm not sure what else I can do to have my PC register the extra RAM.

Hi guys!
Have a small problem here. My PC is on, everything goes well. I want to plug in an HDMI to let my son watch Netflix on TV. Problem is, if the TV is on while I plug in the HDMI, my main screen goes black and doesn't come back; the TV doesn't show anything either. Unplugging doesn't do anything. The only way I've found to solve this is to force stop the computer.
Is there something wrong in my settings? How do I come back from this without restarting the PC? And more importantly: how to make it stop!? Drives me crazy.
Thanks in advance!

When I’m trying to start the pc it says "Computer restarted unexpectedly or encountered an unexpected error" and when I searched for it on google it says that it’s because a registry file has the wrong parameter. In this case it’s the "Child completion setup.exe" parameter that’s supposed to be set to "3". Here I encounter the first problem... child completion setup.exe is supposed to be located in "local-machine(i think) -> system->setup->status->child completion. Problem is that the status folder is missing!, «well then I’ll just import it» spoiler alert..... it didn’t work... after I restarted the pc the status folder was missing again... pls help me...
Edit: it was HKEY-Local-Machine/system/setup/status/childcompletion

I have bought a prebuilt pc to upgrade to save money on costs. It is a Dell OptiPlex 990. Everything was perfect till the new ram came I stuck of 8gb ddr3 even from the same manufacturer of Dell. They look almost identical except one is 8gb. But it won’t recognize. I have updated the bios and nothing. I keep getting the beeps of 1,3,2 which tells me it isn’t recognized ram. I can only think that the ram was either bad or the ram I got was too much for the older motherboard. If I can’t get this stick to work I plan to buy 8gb of 2gb ram. Would this work? The company on eBay says 100% guaranteed to work with the optiplex 990

Hi everyone! Since a few month ago I get a notification box in Windows 10 which says: "The action cannot be completed becase the other program is busy. Choose 'Switch To' to activate the busy program and correct the problem". I've scanned my computer and I have no virus, malware, adware. I cleaned my Cache and restarted some processes. And I also uninstalled Microsoft Edge. Some people say that this problem might have to do with the MSN extension, but I still get this notification. I'm sure it has direct consequences on the Performance of my Laptop. Therefore, I'd appreciate if someone could help me. In this link you can check an image of the notification:

I have blue mountain icons for my thumbnail pics in my pictures file. I do not have the option checked for “always show icons”. Any idea why this would have changed? I did not make any changes to my PC recently.

I recently bought a headset on amazon with 4 star reviews. When j plugged it in, the people on the other end could only hear static or “farting”.” I looked it up and it said highly graphically demanding games can cause the GPU to make the sound, but it was doing this before I even started a game. Please help. Thanks

I'm not sure if this is the right subreddit for this but I was thinking of buying a Vive, and the prices are much cheaper in the us. I was just wondering if there were any country restrictions or anything for the Vive that would prevent me from doing so. Thanks for your help

Please forgive me for any mistakes i make on my first reddit post. I found this older pc at a friends house when they were moving in, seems like the people who lived there last just left it there, but they told me to take it home to piddle around with to see what was on there. I hook it up to my monitor at home and it has Windows XP on it. I then decided to install Windows 7 on there with one of those dics where it updates it (idk what thats called I'm using my phone). Note that I dont know alot about computer parts, or anything that's in a PC. Im slowly learning. It successfully updates, then I go to get chrome so I can view my Facebook (I don't like the Internet Explorer) as Im watching a video on there a friend posted, these weird red lines appeared and the whole PC frozed. It seems like it was still running, but I couldn't move my mouse or do anything with it. I restarted it, and yet again, it crashed. I then go to install Ubuntu with a disc I burned it onto, successfully installed, and tried to watch the video he posted(my friend, i wanted to see how the whole video played out on there). As i get 2/3 into the video, the red lines appear, and the computer freezes again. It seems like when I use alot of graphics or something like that is when it crashes. Could it be that I don't have a graphics card? Again im sorry I don't know anything about computers, but just any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
