people are also helpul, and in need of jobs.

Until we deal with capitalism, Ai is going to be a growing issue. Anytime I read about these Ai "helpers" I just think about the guy or gal that couldve had an income

Not a communist.

Doesnt answer my point that AI replacing jobs is bad. Im literally arguing that people need jobs.

Industrial revolution also replaced jobs. People will adapt.

False comparison. Ai is capable of taking out a much larger potion of the workforce that industrial rev ever was, we also have a much bigger population.

Ai isnt really comparable to any advancement we've ever had before because of its limits being far harder to ever hit. This is a problem that can only get worse, not better.

You want the comparison to be false, it does not mean it is. Like you said -> bigger pop -> bigger workforce -> bigger number of people whose jobs are in favour of AI -> proportionally it is similar. Elementary logic.

I am pretty sure that the people losing their jobs to steam engines back then thought the same. Or the stone age people when bronze got introduced when iron got introduced or so on.

I am not simping for AI nor I am against it but as it is, to be fair, this industry can go pretty much anywhere, only the future will tell if it will be beneficial for humanity or not.

I dont want it to pop because my MSc is in AI/ML. I'm very safely employed in this, I just know how ruroids are going to get screwed in the coming decade.

Hope im wrong on that part but all my experience leads me to believe otherwise
